I'm currently in the middle of designing a new layout, uploading photos, and blogging about my spring break travels, but this meme (from the wonderful vivier) caught my eye:

1. Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
2. No captions. It must be as if we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just as we have to interpret your words.
3. They must already be on your hard drive — no Googling or Flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
4. You do not have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.

We're not getting a new puppy because my dad is a tool.  I hate my job because my kid is a slap-happy brat and no one can make up their mind on how to deal with him.  My mattress isn't coming until Monday.  I feel completely stagnant and afraid as far as furthering my education is concerned.  And I can't seem to write anything anymore.

tl;dr: I'm emo, tired and need a hell of a lot of chocolate.

So you may or may not (probably the latter) remember that I'm doing some, uh, academic research on Dexter for my senior project (officially), but mostly just fucking because (unofficially), show me your favorite Dexter stuff. Anything at all. Multiple things, even. Official or unofficial. Videos or articles or fan art or fiction or just talk about the show if you want. The great thing here is even if you have no idea if it will help me successfully complete my project, it doesn't fucking matter because there is nothing you could say about it that would bore me.

Also, tomorrow I have plans to go rollerskating. This has nothing to do with anything, I'm just a tiny bit toasted and very pleased.

My commercial photographer pal, David Field (Website Here) sent me this message:

1.  Just sent an email to a relatively local family regarding a girl goldendoodle puppy.  According to lots of websites, two male dogs will fight for dominance, so it's a lot easier to get a girl isntead of a boy.  Should be going to pick one out on Saturday - we're taking Kevin so they bond off the bat O_O

It is. It's terrifying to let someone know the amount of feelings you have for them and hope that they harbor the same amount for you. And then there's the fear of losing that love, or being hurt by it.

If I didn't feel so happy all the time because of this amazing person in my life, I wouldn't even bother with love.

... job searching still continues, so far 2 companies have given me the axe and 1 I'm still waiting to hear from.

They're looking to pair me with someone new at work.  And while half of me is completely and utterly thrilled, the other half is really disappointed in myself.  I'm apparently too nice.  Despite the fact that my supervisor told me point-blank it's not a personal failure, I do feel it is that way.  I thought I was making headway with getting him to respect me.  Today was awful because we all agree he didn't have his meds.  But gah.  A week and they already know I'm going to suck?  Geez.  Way to fail, me.  On the plus side my supervisor was thinking of my next client - an elementary-school girl who's looking for a female influence in her life, to teach her how to, you know, be a girl.  I could totally do that.  It would give me an excuse to buy shiny jewelry.

Phew.  On the plus side, I for the first time in a long time do feel the urge to write.  That's kinda special.  I'm gonna go post a new chapter and finish chapter 12 :D
